DEF LEPPARD

DEF LEPPARD

“Songs From the Fizz Lounge” (Mercury): B+

With guilty pleasure pop-metal tunes like “Tomorrow,” “Hallucinate” and the unity “Nine-spot Lives” (featuring a vocal music cameo from Tim John Joseph McGraw of all people), Def Lep in effect channels the high-haired glory of its ’80s peak. “Songs From the Sparkle Lounge” is a showcase of hard-rock styles from three decades set crosswise with flattering modern production and brain-sticking shout-along choruses. Is it relevant? Non in truth. Enjoyable? For sure enough. Download: “Bad Actress.”
